Hello,
I am hoping some of you may be able to give me some advice. I am 28 and have recently ended my contract with my employer, as I was not part of the pension scheme for 2 years they have asked me to provide a pension fund for them to transfer the funds (approx £2000) to, as I can no longernbe a member of their fund. I don't currently have another pension fund so would need to apply for one.
I will be moving to Australia in 2013 so will not be contributiing to the fund following that date. I am totally clueless about what sort of fund I should go for and whether I will end up paying more in fees than the £2000 I have to invest.
Any help would be much appreciated!

Have you considered a low cost sipp eg sippdeal? Should not cost you anything to open and transfer the money in from your employer. Invest in a low cost tracker or investment trust. Arrange for any dividends to be reinvested.
Have a look in 30 years and it could have grown to a tidy sum.0
