  • Brilliant news Yargo - congratulations!
    Enjoy the vodka...
I've gotten loads done myself today, including ordering my wedding cake, which I'm really quite excited about. And it's fairly well priced as well (£225, which is cheaper than I could have gotten from M&S)

3 tiers - 12" carrot cake, 14" lemon sponge and 16" chocolate. No fruit cake much to my mother's dismay but neither of us like or want it.
Just need to decide on a design now without going all gypsy wedding.

    Hi all

Congrats to all those getting married!

Today I have done everything I said I would on my earlier post...and that's a small miracle in itself! I am particularly pleased at having a NSD..I was waiting for a colleague in a shopping centre for example. Instead of popping into the beckoning H@bbs or LKB or Foyles, that lovely bookshop, I sat on a bench and soaked up the sunshine..which was free!

only 1 egg tho...maybe the girls will do better tomorrow!

    Have a good eve everyone

[STRIKE] Email those friends of mine, and see what they're up to/how they're getting on[/STRIKE]
    - Have a look at Ebay pile and see if it's stuff that I can really sell
    - Declutter sofa
    [STRIKE]- Food from stores
[/STRIKE]- Bring own lunch (all except apple - the apples i bought last week were either already nibbled at (by what I don't know! ICK!), or truly disgusting!)- [STRIKE]Dinner from stores
[/STRIKE]- HOOVER THE **** RUGS!!! (I wanted to do this yesterday, but also wanted to clean coffee table fist and then ran out of time).
[STRIKE]- Be strong at work (well, I'll try - I make no promises)[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Also wrote a list of some bits we need (bread, milk, eggs & bin bags), and will get those on way home.
    [/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Also checked UK bank account, and CC. All OK. [/STRIKE]
    Update from me, as above.

Congratulations Yargo on the payout and becoming debt free!!!!!! WAHOOOOOO!!!!!

I did no cleaning last night. OH's brother had an op yesterday morning, so we had a Skype call with his Mum to discuss that, and other issues with the brother. All a bit heavy, and left OH feeling quite down, so I was busy giving hugs and support instead.

    Hope everyone is well!

I don't blame you! I hate fruit cake! Your wedding cake sounds super yummy! If I was there, I'd be trying to sneak extra pieces into my bag! :D

Just flying back for a quick lunchtime update!!

KerryPolka - had a look at your blog yesterday and it's really good, was particularly impressed with your wardrobe - I often have that 'is this too casual for work' worry and think I might need to upgrade my work wardrobe completely seperate to my 'casual' wardrobe!

    Kx

Aww, thank you very kindly! I am a giant fan of keeping work clothes apart as I said - I started with the goal of making my work clothes last longer, but now the most impressive part for me is the instant brain switch that happens when I take off my office dress and put on my jeans. It's like magic de-stress!
