death please help

Sorry to be posting this late but my hub was just told about 7 hrs ago that his friend at the age of 41 just dropped dead :( he was at rvh on friday with pains but they done tests and sent him home..sadly earlier he dropped dead...im writting this late because my hub has just went to bed (he had a few beer an is feeling guilty/sad/and crying )im crying also but my biggest worry is he was on the bru he didnt have any money...im worried about who pays for his funeral or is he buried with others.dear god i wish id the money to help him..:( im soooo sad for him he had a daughter 7 weeks ago that is getting christened in 2weeks he was sooo looking forward to it. Any advice would be very welcome

    Sorry for your sad news.

    Things won't have to get sorted out too quickly and I am sure that they will be given other information too.

    People will want to rally round and help but there often isn't too much that can be done at first, except perhaps a bit of home baking, and/or a card or letter with some lovely memories of your friend.

    so sorry about your loss, its just been supportive for hubby, for the first few days its going to be raw, and take a bit of time to get things sorted.

    Did hubbys friend have a family/wife p def agree with the other poster some home baking, a casserole, shepherds pie, lasagne for the freezer,

    Thank you both for your replies..hes been are friend for 11years and he dosent. God didnt i mean. Sorry i have to stop crying..he has no one to look after him he hasnt spoke to his family for about 15 years ..my heart is crying for him ..god sake :(

    I'm not particularly religious but I still think he'll be 'around' for his daughter and you all.

  • If he was married or has a civil partner, they can claim a bereavement grant of £2000 to help out with costs.
