Job Hunting

I left my agency job today because of being very unhappy and messed about there. The agency are very supportive and understanding as they have had many of their agents withdraw or about to withdraw from this place.
The main reasons involve being told it was 12 weeks and then going permanent, been there 18 weeks and now told there are no permanent jobs. Also have been messed about with hours of work.
So now I am back on the job hunt again, got all the agencies looking for me, applied for jobs in the local paper, filled in 2 application forms for the council, picking up a form for the local nightclub.
What more can I do?
I have also applied for contribution job seekers allowance.
Just concerned because I have a bit of debt.

I temp for a living and can sympathise with your situation, as I've been with my agency for months, saw my dream job through another agency, took it, and walked out after 7 days as the job was so bad - this agency was also understanding, but my original agency were excellent got me three weeks work and have landed me another dream job which I started yesterday! But I didn't work for 3 days and that was bad enough for me.
First point- make sure this agency pays you - the company I was temping in kept forgetting to sign the time-sheet (it was an on-line one which was a nightmare) and it took me until last Friday to get paid from that agency. Although if you were there for a while they should be okay with you.
Supermarkets - working any hours, just to get some money coming in. I don't know where you live, but where I live seasonal jobs are starting to be advertised, in hotels, etc. Contact them, even if it's just for cleaning work - any money coming in is better than nothing. Bar work is another option.
I do feel for you as I spent the three days I wasn't working totally working myself up into a frenzy about it all. You are doing exactly the right things, keep looking at the jobs website all the time as they're updated daily, google "jobs in (whatever area) as I kept finding different jobs all the time, universities if there are any near you. You will get something, it just takes a bit of time. Good luck, and please try not to panic.0
