Passt Debts

About 2001 I seperated from my first wife and got into a right mess with my money. I moved a couple of times and no one bothered me for any money. I needed some extra cash April last year and had to try my bank for an overdraft, which suprisingly I got and was also offered a credit card. I have applied for a couple of things lately and been refused. I then checked on Experian online and there was 2 debts still on there one being a CCJ, which will drop off in June. The rest must already have. Does anyone know how I got credit? And has registering with Experian online made it more likely that the last creditor on there will now try to contact me?

No to the first question. But they may not have used Experien, not all lenders do.

I don't think registering with Experien would make any difference though but I am not sure

  • registering with Experien would have updated your current address on credit file, so therfore if your past creditors want to 'find you' they could technically get the new info from Experien... but if they do or not is a different story icon_smile.gif
