I'm trying to think of a selection of sandwich fillers for a party I'm giving and there will be people from overseas coming to it.
It will be a finger food come buffet type party. I'm trying to use local foods, breads desserts and traybakes so they can see the variety we have over here.
I've been to some events in the past and had Veda filled with various fillings but one I never managed to get the recipe for was a filling which had ginger in it. Can anyone tell me what it was and how to make it?

A friend of mine makes philly cheese and ginger sandwiches using the jar of easy ginger you can buy in supermarkets. She also makes mars bar and apple Veda sandwiches which are delicious. YOU put the mars bar in the fridge to chill, then cut it really thin and make the sandwiches with that and thinly sliced apple dipped in lemon juice so it doesn't go brown. Hope this helps0

Mars bar and apple sounds a bit strange  but I'll try it out before hand. The Philly and ginger sounds about right. I just wasn't sure what the ginger was mixed in. Mars bar and apple sandwiches are an old favorite here in Norn Iron. I remember getting them in the 70's. I have never had them with Veda, but sounds good. I do not know if anybody outside of NI have heard of them, so might go down well.0
