thank you all very much for all your ideas. you are all so great with suggestions i knew mse was the place to be lol. I think the making your own beauty products would be a great idea thanks for the recipes. We have applied for some funding but as with all things its only limited to certain things we can do with the girls so it doesnt really stretch far enough to cover all the beauty products. the police did kindly donate us some money too but i dont think they have any idea just how far the money will not go when you have 30 girls in your group.
thanks again for all your great suggestions

Hi Minifan
Sure i'm off work now till mon so if you want a weekly programme i could e-mail you mon or if you just want a more detailed breakdown i could do 2moz or over the weekend, you could adapt it to suit your own group? which area are you from?
I have also recieved funding from the foundation to do a pc project in which young people did an 11month project building computers (the group didn't have any so the aims & obs behind it being they'd learn more from building their own than just buying some.:j0 -
Hi
I contacted a few companies that do things like spot treatment (Clean & Clear, Freederm, Clearasil etc) they sent some resources and free samples. The FPA give out one copy of each resource on STIs and Contraception. Hope this helps0 -
if you want to do sexual health i think brook will come out for free and give a talk or you could even approach the school nurse service who may be able to help and certainly should be able to point you in the right direction for help with a variety of areasMember 1145 Sealed Pot Challenge No4

I am a Body Shop at home consultant, the parties are free, whoever chooses to be the host ie. unit leader comes away with a host of freebies and we can do a range of themes and makeovers. its a great way to promote the Body Shop ethics amongst youths!Super geek.0

I recommend asking your local lush for samples.0

I second asking Lush- they gave me some goodies for my Hen weekend when we went in! Also Simple are pretty generous with samples so might be worth approaching them.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0
