Tesco Value is fine I find. Or if you've got a 'Scoop' shop near you, use that.

I certainly wouldn't go to H&B, Julian Graves etc - stupid prices, as though being sold in a health shop granted them extra mythical health benefits.

That is so true I think supermarkets are best especially if you get the stuff intended for baking rather than the supermarkets new 'wholefood'/'healthfood' range which always seem a bit more to me.

Tesco 41p, asda, sainsburys do mixed fruit and raisins, a tip if you want to buy your dried fruit in tescos - if you see sultanas there for 41p buy a few because they always sell out of those quickly. Nettos do some occasionally.

Hi, me and OH are trying to be healthy by snacking on dried fruit but it is working out pretty expensive. Anyone know of the best place, shop or online to buy, dried dates, figs and unsulphered apricots. would be happy to buy in bigger quantities to get a better price.

the best thing i have found is to keep your eyes open when julian greaves has a half price sale. i get loads then and they always have a really good best before date on them.

Hi donna73,
If you ever go to Spain, stock up on dried fruit there because it´s very cheap in the supermarkets.
Also, have you tried Lidl? They sell bags of mixed prunes, apricots and dried apples cheaply.

I buy dried fruit from the local Asian grocers and it is pretty cheap but the apricots are not unsulphurated. Also if you happen to live near Watford there is a very good stall in the market selling that sort of thing.
