    walking out is never a good idea, 2weeks might be long enough for something that needed doing to have had an impact.

    chances are if you had given notice and pushed back on the bad behavour you would have been kicked out.

    needs to be real losses/costs and they must have tried to mitigate.

    Check with the agency if a replacement was requested.

    Contact the Acas Helpline... that's what I would do if I were you. I've learned a lot from these guys in the past. Every time I've called, they've been super helpful and knowledgeable.:)

    thanks. I did contact them but they said its not something they can advise on or have much knowledge on.

    ACAS are not legally trained. They may be very helpful, as long as you're prepared to hear someone very helpful telling you something which may or may not be accurate.
