Nram contact numbers

I have been trying since Friday to pay my mortgage over the phone to NRAM. The calls constantly drop out during the security checks or don't even get that far before just dropping out on 08456099610.
It is the month end and obviously I was panicking. I eventually managed to get through this morning.
Eventually the call assistant admitted that they were experiencing some problems.
I pointed out that there are no announcements about this lengthy outage on their website.
I asked what will happen to the people who do not get through before the month cut off, when the fault lies with NRAM systems.
He told me that they have had no instructions regarding that issue.
So I am just creating this as a record which may help anyone who finds themselves on the wrong end of NRAM charges come 1st April.

This happened to me once and I didn't manage to pay my mortgage in time as they would not pick up. I have now set up their banking details on line and pay by bank transfer every month now. It's quick and easy and reaches their account the same day. Saves trying to contact them and waste your phone bill0
