I think I did it to myself

I have a concern about a mortgage that I intend to apply for in the near future. My worry regards my past late payments on a credit card where I was being a bit lazy and posting the payment at the eleventh hour which was deemed late by the card company and thus attracted a late charge. At the time I realised it was just my laziness (quite unexcusable) and didn't realise that it might have a future impact on applying for a mortgage. Though at the same time I had a number of other loans that I've successfully completed and kept up all payments.
I would like to know where that leaves me in terms of applying for a mortgage with 93% LTV. Are there lenders that distinguish between missed payments and late payments or are they all deemed the same in the eyes of the banks/building societies?
Your help and input would be greatly appreciated, BTW I am no longer laziness or bliase about payments anymore and get it all sorted the moment my salary comes in!;)
