Ebay

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this on but is it worth selling things on Ebay? I need to make some extra money and thought it might be a good idea to sell some of my things on Ebay.

For those of you that sell things on there do you recommend other's to do the same?

Absolutely. Go for it. You may well be suprised how much cash you can raise.
  • I put 2 broken iPod Nano's on there today - within an hour they sold for £40. It is well worth it. If you start things at 99p in an auction, it's free listing.

You have to pay eBay fee's - but you pay those monthly. They charge 10% of whatever it sells for. So if your item sells for £10, their fee is £1.

    Hope this helps! :)

It's defintely worth selliing on ebay. It's really easy to do and worth giving it a go if you'd like to make some cash from your unwanted items.

They sometimes have free listing weekends where you can list all auctions for free. These listings you don't have to start at 99p. You do pay a fee if the item sells but at least you don't to list.

What I would suggest is making sure you're honest about the description. For instance if you were selling a top that had been worn several times, it should be listed as used rather than new. (You'd be suprised how many people list well-used stuff as new!) Buyers appreciate honesty and you're more likely to get good feedback this way.

    Good luck :)
  • Its ok for small items worth under £50 but anything higher ebay and Paypal take too much in fees.

I try to sell stuff on Facebook first, there are groups there that are setup to sell items, best thing is that its free.
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?
