Hi guys. New to this forum. But I just wanted to post regarding Freshstart financial management. I have been dealing with them for over a month now and have just had an IVA approved through them. They have been extremely helpful and have taken a huge weight off my shoulders as I have been struggling with debt for quite a long time! Have not experienced any problems with them or Harrington Brookes.

Sorry it all came out wrong before, just annoys me that companies pray on vulnerable people. Please see FireWyrm's reponse belowJan 13/15 Feb 16/15 March 19/20 April 17/15:D May 0/17

I think what Freshair meant to say was that perhaps you should be looking for help elsewhere such as a debt charity. These companies exist only to make themselves money and typically charge fees of around 20% of the debt. Considering that you had enough courage to come here in the first place, could you dig a little deeper and save yourself the 20% fee by either dealing with your creditors yourself, or, going to someone who won't be digging a deeper hole for you at the same time as you are trying to get out. Nothing says you have to deal with these companies, like house buying, you are not required to have an agent acting on your behalf. These agencies do nothing you couldn't be doing yourself and you'll find that most creditors understand your situation and are quite a bit more helpful than you think they will be.Debt Free! Long road, but we did it

Welcome to the forum!
There is an IVA/DRO sub-board if you want to ask any questions about your IVA.
I hope that Freshstart identified the best solution for you, having considered all the options, and that it works out for you. You should stick with it unless you come to the view that it is not the best way forward (not knowing all the details we can't comment).
Would you like to give any more info about yourself and the plan? For example, how much debt? How much will you pay per month? How much was their fee? Are you a homeowner?0 -
