Buy your pasties cold and heat them up yourself at home. Save the Vat.
Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

Cut hot water costs, share bath/shower.

Save petrol, walk or cycle where practical.

If you pay for a gym anyhow, have your showers there, save on your water bill.

Charge your devices at work/uni (e.g. phone, laptop if allowed).

Put extra layers on rather than turning heating up (not so useful just now with the lovely weather, but those in Scotland may still need heating on this year).

Buy stamps before they go up in price - you are bound to use them at some point.

If you are shopping online anyhow, make sure you click through cashback sites (and sign up through referrals from other members if it's of benefit).

Every night but loose change (5p,2p,1p) in a jar - once you save up £10, use it to buy toiletries, but make a point of buying only bogoffs. That way not only will you have accumulated £10 that you would never have put aside, but you'll stretch it even further when buying bogoffs

If you use wipes to cleanse your face, take one out, rip it in two,
put half back in the packet and use both sides of the other half.

A pack of 50 is now a pack of 100. Works for me.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

That is a really good idea... never thought of doing that before!

I usually buy items which have a long best before life such as coffee or breakfast cereals and certain biscuit brands only when they are on half price (or similar big reduction) offers or BOGOFs and stocking up. Also cleaning items and toilet rolls, if you have the money available and the storage space, are worth buying in quantity when they're on half price offers etc.
