Bit of background history -I went bankrupt in 2006 and was discharged in 2007,managed to be debt free for a while, met someone and had 2 children with him(making a total of 6) and went a bit mad with money.So...I am now wanting to clear all my debt.I'm single again(he cheated) and just started working in January(part time as no childcare available).I have a car loan which I have not included as I don't plan to deal with it other than pay the minimums until everything else is paid off.
The snowball calc says I will be debt free in a year
So...to keep me on the straight and narrow I am adding my debts to my sig and will update them regularly.
My debts:
social fund and crisis loan 1023.27
vanquis 1948.04
simply be 1829.57
very 3382.16 (eek)
provident 295
playschool 244(miscalculated when my 3 year old could start)
school residential trip year 6 daughter 100
polish school 110
crl debt collection 83
gas 412.16
elec 245.36
direct line 62
Some of these will be paid off next month but I have included them as it helps psychologically to see them go down to 0.The gas and electric have been hanging round my neck for far too long and I want to get rid of them!I pay some off, I get a new bill, it goes back up...driving me mad.Putting them here will help me focus.I'm going to be paying off all the small debts first, and then I will pay off the bigger debts in interest order so I pay less overall.Once they are all gone I will be taking half of the debt repayment money and overpaying the car loan, and saving half in the bank until I have 3000 there and after that all the debt repayment money will go on the loan until it's gone. The car loan is for 4 years and I'm hoping I can get it down to 3.
I'm being cautious as my eldest daughter will be 18 next year and will be going off to uni so my finances will change again.
Do you think this all looks ok?
Hope you don't mind me posting.

Hello and welcome.
And good luck on your journey...Ninja Saving Turtle0 -
You need to know the APRs on those debts; provident is probably highest, so that is the one to pay off first. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0

I do know the apr's but some debts are rather old so need to be paid off first, provident being one of them. Once I am rid of all the little ones I will be paying off the rest in apr order, probably starting in July.Debts Jan 2014 £20,108.34
