Thorntons closing down sale!

My local Thorntons (Chorley) is closing down and most things are reduced 50%.

The eggs which you can get 'engraved' are now only £1.75 and plenty of the large boxes of chocolates are very cheap too.

Maybe worth a look at your local to see if yours is closing too!

Our nearest (Grantham) isn't closing but has become an outlet store and a lot of things are 50% off, although some items are 10% off.

I wonder how long it's going to be until Thornton's closes down altogether? The results just go from bad to worse, and they seem to have lost the plot.

Doesnt surprise me at all they were loosing the plot 5 years ago when I worked for them.

Kept getting rid of all the popular chocs and trying to push the rubbish ones that nobody liked.

ive gone right off thorntons years ago, and they dont seem to have new lines. There's no luxury feel to them when they put the worst of the seletions in boxes in supermarkets.
i only like the alpini and vienese-but still not as good as cheaper chocolate like cadburys and green and blacks.
