How well paid are you?

You may be in for a surprise.
Do you earn more or less than the world's average wage? Type in your monthly salary and we'll give you the answer.
The average wage, calculated by the International Labour Organization, is published here for the first time. It's a rough figure based on data from 72 countries, omitting some of the world's poorest nations. All figures are adjusted to reflect variations in the cost of living from one country to another

I remember visiting Luxenbourg many moons ago, I ordered a round of drinks for 4 and 20 cigarettes, when I received my change I asked the barman had he taken for the cigarettes and all the drinks ( too honest for my own good icon9.gif that is me), apparently he had :) Looks like it hasn't changed much

238% of the UK average and 493% of the world average.

I am pretty well paid admittedly.
  • Like probably most people I judge my earnings against 'peers' who are close to me in some way, e.g. friends, colleagues & present, former classmates, siblings, parents, neighbours, those sorts of people.

I don't especially care that I earn loads more than someone on minimum wage in Albania, or loads less than a top banker in, er, anywhere really.
    FACT.

You'd have been just as well stating you earn circa £60k.
Guess you have little problem being a FTB then ;)

It should look at the ratio of wages to cost of living.
