Hi all
Long time lurker, first time poster so be gentle with me!
As the title says,i'm currently working 30 hours a week on min wage, and in full season going up to 36 hours. Its a flipping hard job, been there over 2 years now and for the most part its been ok.Well staff ratio's have dropped by half and our work load has gone up...well I applied for another job 6 weeks ago and yesterday was offered the job!
However.....its 20 hours a week and from October to Feb i'm sure there will be even less due to the nature of the business (i live in a seaside town)...so most jobs here are seasonal.
Sooooo lovely people...if I took this other job would I be able get help with housing benefit or ct/b?? I have looked at the turn2us website and at present could get about £35 h/b per week at the moment based on my hubbies and my wages anyway!! But like i say my hours are going to increase from tomorrow so not bothering! Could I get turned down for h/b and ct/b because i have chosen to drop hours by changing my job?
Thanks

i think you are asking the wrong people if you want us to tell you to drop your hours and claim off the state.
Why do you think you should only work half the time and still maintain the lifestyle you have off the backs of others?Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0
