Hi
Cut a very long boring story short.
We over spent on credit (our own fault)
We sought help from CCCS (fantastic)
We set up a DMP with them and began paying off our debts. Things were going very well and we have been managing the DMP ourselves since December with all our creditors being great. With one - exception Vanquis.
They will not accept a pro-rata offer of payment
Although we have been paying them the amount offered or debt is now bigger than when we started:eek:
They do not answer letters
They were adding Repayment Option Plan to both our accounts until I rang and asked them to stop. (I had already written to them twice without success)
I rang them today to try and sort out only to be spoken to like I was some kind of imbecile who had no desire to pay off my debt.
WE are doing so well with all the other creditors but this is really getting me down as I am not refusing to pay I just cannot afford to pay the amount they are asking for and it would be unfair on my other creditors as they have settled for pro-rata amounts.
Anyone any experience of dealing with these people please?

I have experience with Vanquis. I wrote to them when I first got into financial difficulties, and they agreed to drop interest to 1.99% and accept £20 a month for three months then review. Since then I have set up DMP, and continued £20 a month, so I am hoping that when it gets to review time next month they will agree to either an ongoing reduced payment with frozen/no interest (in which case I'll take them off my DMP and self manage this debt), or they will just accept DMP only, which will get me either £15 a month extra into my DMP, or a few quid into savings every month
Not had any problems with them, but then i've never dealt with them by phone, always through CCCS or in writing...Debt free on 2nd January 2015Next savings goals:£5k emergency fund£4k holiday of a lifetime fund0
