crafty bailiffs.

hello all.my name is joe. new to this. we have a council tax debt of 631.70 which is in my partners name.my partner kirsty is having a debt relief order with this account on it. we had bailiffs (jacobs) knock on the door insisting that we either sign an agreement now or they could apply to have the car clamped or removed. i was very hesitant at first as i know the usual rights etc but as they offered the chance to set up an agreement i thought that would be the best thing for now untill the debt relief order is completed in a few days.so let them in.they then went on to say they could either note down things in the house or just put the car on the inventory.as we were late (because of them) picking my daughter up from school i said in a panic put the car on the inventory.they stated that they would not be taking everything but im still worried. my partner signed the inventory and they left. the car is registered in my name and i do not owe the debt and i have the purchase receipt to prove i bought the car. i later phoned him and explained and he said he can still take the car as kirsty signed it and i said to put it on. is this correct and/or legal.any reply asap would be great as id like to find out before they come back. many thanks.:(

Please speak to National Debt Line or CCCS urgently as you have got yourselves in a mess signing the WPO.
Given ou both live there (I assume) you need advise as to whether they can levy on the car.
What fees have they added to the account? If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
