How to enquire about a job application and when

If you want to enquire about a job you applied for how should you word the email? and how long shoould you wait before writting to them to ask, the job i applied for has no closing dat on the ad so I am very curious and it is a job I really want so want to show im keen but don't want to be too pushy.

    If it has no closing date and you have the email of the person who the cv/application went to I normally wait 7-10 days to send a follow up email.

    You might want to touch up on your spelling and grammar when sending it. Try and do a simple spellcheck. It could improve your chances of getting the role.

    that wasn't what I asked ;) I am well aware of double checking important things, this is not an important post that I will be spending time on spelling and grammer.
