T.K.Maxx's inconsistent price structure policy

This was the story of TK Maxx selling a child's lost toy btw, forgive the Daily Fail link:

I think your experience is different to mine, as you found two same/similar items had two different prices at the same store. If that happened to my two straps then I would totally agree with you that it is up to me to decide whether to pay the extra to buy the items or not. I obviously did not know the same straps cost cheaper at another T.K.Maxx store, so...
Anyway, their price structure is a mystery, whatever they claim (the stock comes in at different times and is priced accordingly) is just an excuse...
Yes I agree.
But what can you do? There is nothing to stop them from trading this way - you either shop there or you do not. They are not doing anything 'wrong' trading wise.
I no longer shop at New Look after a snooty SA refused to give me a leaflet with 20% of all purchases , saying I had to buy something first. Other stores were giving them out to anyone. When I complained to New Look they said it was up to the manager. No offer of any discount so I took my custom elsewhere. They lost out on over £100 from me.0 -
It doesn't matter if it's an excuse, and to be honest it doesn't really matter what you think about it.
They can sell what they want at whatever price they want. Prices are allowed to differ between stores.0 -

And?
People realise that. You may have missed the title of this board, its called Praise, vent & Warnings. I believe OP and others were doing just that.0 -

Why do you insist on making these stupid posts stating the blindingly obvious all the time?
You may think it's making look business savvy and worldly wise but it's actually making look a bit of an idiot. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -

That's true, but from a good practice of trading and a customer's point of view, would you be happy to pay more for the same item just because the trader fancies to sell it at different prices in their stores?0 -

Not a lot, but what I believe is, if something is not right, then it has to be addressed and heard. There are so many different companies and organisations out there are doing 'whatever-they-want' business. The reason for that is simply because those who experience a bad service do not say anything. I may sound like a customer from hell, but honestly there are so many dodgy traders out there these days. I have to fight against different ones every day... sorry to sound so dramatic here...0 -

We have a Tesco Extra and a Tesco Express near each other here, and the Express charges more than the Extra for most things.
I just take it on the chin these days.0 -
Ive noticed a slight price difference between a tesco express and a tesco extra on some items.. AMAZING.."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0

Yes you are!:)
I do not see this as such a big deal as you do. I find it much more concerning that gift cards are no longer valid when a company goes into administration and yet is still trading. Now that really is a rip off IMO.0
