As I half-expected, last week's plan ended up getting a bit swapped around. I'm not having the same meals again this week, I just haven't got round to eating some of them yet.
Friday - pepperoni pizza and salad (snap, JG!)
Saturday - chilli cheese burger (naughty but oh so nice)
Sunday - pesto chicken casserole with cheese dumplings
Monday - Thai prawn curry and rice
Tuesday - veg tagine with naan bread
Wednesday - veg noodle stirfry with ginger and cashews
Thursday - either something from the freezer or a hot dog at the pub quiz (the hot dogs are being sold for charity, which means I can justify buying one occasionally )
I'll be making a banana cake this weekend to use up a couple of over-ripe bananas which have been sitting around for a while, too.0 -
Is there space for a newbie over here?!!
Mine isn't in any particular order - my BF needs a bit of flexibility otherwise he goes stir crazy!!
*Courgette and Cashew Nut Curry
*Pasta and Meatballs
[STRIKE]*Roast Chicken & Veggies[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]*Chicken & Pineapple Fried Rice (with leftover roast meat)[/STRIKE]
*Spaghetti Bolognese (made with turkey mince)
*Chinese Beef Stew
*Beef Enchilladas (with leftover stew)
Breakfasts for us are homemade yogurt with tin fruit for me and a protein shake for BF
Lunches are a mix of omelettes, soup and roll or noodles with beancurd
Hope that everyone has a tasty week!!July Grocery Challenge : £40.41/£200.000 -

A full week to plan next week as I haven't got college (I only go 2 evenings a week, but the break will be nice) and it's a 4 day working week, which is quite a novelty for me as i've almost always worked on bank holidays!
Monday - pork, lemon and herb 'meatballs' in a pitta with salad and potato wedges
Tuesday - [STRIKE]spicy carrot soup with savoury scones[/STRIKE] had a BBQ lunch at work, so didn't have dinner
Wednesday - [STRIKE]chickpea and parsnip curry with rice and naan bread[/STRIKE] went to my dad's for dinner. Homemade cheeseburger with chips. Yum
Thursday - [STRIKE]jacket potato with something (will see what I have on the day)[/STRIKE] spicy carrot soup with savoury scones
Friday - [STRIKE]sweet and sour chicken with noodles (and prawn toast as have 2 pieces in the freezer)[/STRIKE] my brother stayed over - we got a 'takeaway' indian meal from Sainsbury's
Saturday - sausages with [STRIKE]cous cous and roasted vegetables? (I will have to investigate what I have frozen!)[/STRIKE] cauliflower cheese and potato wedges
Sunday - honey mustard chicken pastaGrocery challenge - Nov: £52/£100

It was called a curry but it's more of a stir fry type meal, we usually have with ho fan noodles but any noodles or rice would work just as well!
*2 Spring Onions - Chopped
*1 Garlic Clove - Chopped
*1 Green Chilli - Chopped and De-seeded
*200g Courgette - Thick Slices
*50g Mushrooms - we just use cheapy white mushrooms but I think we originally used shitake
*Handful Beansprouts
*40g Toasted Cashews - We buy the s.price roasted and salted and rinse of the salt under the tap
*4tbsp Soy Sauce
*1tsp Thai Fish Sauce
*Noodles/Rice to serve
-Nice and easy to put together
*Stirfry spring onions, garlic and chillies until soft
*Add courgettes and mushrooms until cooked
*Add beansprouts, cashews, soy and fish sauce for a couple of minutes
*Cook your noodles or rice and happy eating!July Grocery Challenge : £40.41/£200.000
