ING and self employed

Both the wife and I are self-employed, and have been for around the last 2 years (3 in her case).

We have found a new house to buy, and I like the look of the ING mortgage....it seems so straight-forward.

However, they say in their blurb that they need 2 years of IR Tax Assessments. We don't have these, as we have been working through Managed Composite Companies. I 'think' this makes us self-certified, which they won't accept.

I'm speaking to ING tomorrow, but wondered if anyone else has encountered this situation?

Cheers,

Rob

  • Haven't you been technically "employees" of the MCCs? Surely you would have documentary evidence of your pay, and PAYE records, in the same way as genuine employees.

No, I've always been asked for three years accounts so I would be jumping for joy if all they wanted was two years' tax statements.
