please can anyone help? Know its not the best thread but you are all so switched on and savvy on here! my son has had threatening letters from mackenzie hall re a carphone warehouse debt ( disputed) from about 6 years ago. Despite him giving his authority for me to act on his behalf I in wriritng)and providing my contatc details they have failed to contact me and still write to him. This debt has be past between a number of debt firms and Mh have now somehow foudn his latest address, and sent a further letter. The alleged debt is for £428 and its 6 years old. I refuse to call them on a premium number when they have had my details for months as his rep. He suffers from depression and is currently out of work and cannot pay. What is best course of action please?? Thanks

Suesie I think the best idea with these people is to ignore them. They buy unenforceable debts and then try to bully people into paying. Theres some good advice else where on the forum, try searching mackenzie house on here or google.

Well done Rosie! Imwont declare until tomorrow night, I'm expecting a payment or two and I don't want to cheat by adding it to mays challenge, aren't I good?!

Really annoyed with 2 buyers that haven't paid up. I can't be bothered wit opening up a dispute as it doesn't get me anywhere so I've emailed them saying they have until 5pm tonight to pay before it gets relisted. I might try and put one on Facebook, see if I can get a bit more for it :D

    Hi all

Good to pop on and see how everyone is doing :) I am not going to declare until tomorrow as i am desperate to achieve target - if i don't it'll be the first month since joining the challenge that i haven't made it :( I can financially feel the difference though which is whats really hard - rather than not achieving target but not feeling the pinch financially on the £40 / £50 shortfall if that makes any sense ? Been a huge struggle this month and i've alot to pay out for next month too

Just going to carry on doing the classics for now : - listing on the bay of e, swags, cashback wherever possible. I do also try and save money wherever possible too - like food shopping and i've saved i think about £60 a year on the landline but i never count savings i only count what i've actually made extra.

Have tried looking for a second job again :o but the adverts i've seen all say must be fully flexible with hours - even when its just 8 hours a week and there is no way that would be possible for me.

The main fully flexible (for myself - as in i can do it when i have got the time) is the telesales :D Will be looking to start this towards the end of next month after getting a new phone otherwise the first minute or so will be spent with us tryingv to hear each other :rotfl::rotfl:

Well Done! to all who have achieved target and good luck to the rest of us still trying :) x

Evening! Just popping on to add £45.77 Ebay profit over the past few days.

Got a few more things ending tonight so not declaring until tomorrow as hoping to get a bit nearer to target.

We have been camping this weekend!! :rotfl:yes, we are a bit daft!! Planned a trip ages ago with friends. 8 adults and 6 kids in total. We stayed just outside of Howarth in Yorkshire and despite the variable weather and nearly getting blown away when our tent turned into a kite this morning packing up we still managed to have a giggle and the kids enjoyed it. I love Yorkshire, everyone is so friendly.

Anyhow......I digress. Will catch up properly with the thread this evening when I have thawed out a bit!!
