Bad credit, student income but no mortgage on property - Can I buy another house

Options
I have bad credit which is due to not paying my utility bills for nearly a year and a half when I was younger. Unfortunately this left me with debts 5 years ago, I have never paid any payments and now they have found out I'm back with parents whilst the house is rented out. Can I buy another house and pay off my debts whilst having this bad credit without selling my 1st house. Any help would be greatful. I've searched and serached but couldnt find anything on this

Very much doubt it. Who are the utilities with? I would recommend getting a copy of all 3 credit reports (Equifax, Experian and CallCredit) and see if the utilities appear on your credit report.

Suggest you clear your debts by selling the property. Bad credit is going to haunt you for a long time otherwise.
