how do i know which version i've received ?

you probably got the retail copy of it, oem versions are usually only given/sold to system builders
they're both exactly the same except the oem version you can only use the key once and its locked to what computer its installed on whereas the retail you can use it on different machines just not at the same time
if that made sense 0 -
I just got mine this morning.
I was thinking of ebay to sell mine but looks like it could be a bit tricky as its a special edition (the same as the Full retail version though) for the Developer Conference that the Competition was for.
Unused Retail copies are going for around £300 on Amazon, but looking at selling rates Amazon wants to charge you its gonna cost ~20%??? Maybe I've got that wrong as it seems very steep.
On Ebay the copies are going for around £120.
I was hoping to sell this win for around £300 on Amazon and therefore fund a new PC with it. But I don't think thats feasible now...0 -
I received a copy of Vista yesterday which was a nice surprise as I hadn't received the winning email. Don't know how much to put on my competition challenge though. My husband is really pleased as he'd wanted to get hold of this any way as it will be useful for his job. Most recent wins: IPad, Jamie Magazine yearbook, Links of London friendship bracelet, Baumatic ice cream machine! :j0
