CV Writing Companies

Hi guys, just wondering if anyone has ever used these online CV writing companies? Are they worth it? Was there any problems?

    I would say no.
There are plenty of examples or templates on the internet and recruitment companies will often help you
I wouldn't use them simply because you should be tailoring your CV and covering letter to each job you apply for. You might want to focus on different skills or experience, depending on the role.
Therefore, writing your own CV will help you adapt it, when you need to.
There are three types of people in this world. Those who can count and those who can't.
  • Hi Cyrus

I used a lady on ebay - she was very good and a lot cheaper than the bigger companies you see advertised.

    Hi Cyrus.
I will happily write a CV for you free of charge - I'm interested in starting doing this as a part time occupation anyhow, but some companies are charging between £30-£100 - which I think is too expensive.
PM me if you would like me to take a look.

Most of the time it's the qualifications and experience you have that matters. If you lack that, no one can really write a good CV for you. When time's been spent helping you I do think the writer is ok to ask for compensation, but only IF the CV lands the candidate an interview.

A badly formatted CV will not get past the screening stage. A badly written CV will do the same. If your CV is a mess the chances are so are you.
Most people think their CV looks really good, if they think that it does and it really doesn't there's a problem.

Your second post is like Tesco saying, here's some free food for a dinner party, only pay us if the people you are cooking for enjoy it.
