Newbie with a query about MEAFs?

Hi all

I hope you don't mind me leaping straight in with a question but I'm wondering if anyone can help.

We are in the process of transferring 3 loans from Birmingham Midshires to Nationwide and have been informed that there will be £250.00 MEAF which we intend to reclaim.

Does anyone know whether this will be £250 per loan or in total.

Our new mortgage is due to be completed on 28 Feb which is when the FSA want answers from the mortgage companies about these ridiculous fees but I doubt that this will make any difference to us.

We have borrowed an additional £2000.00 for some much needed home improvements and will be stuffed if the £750 (if it is £750) comes out of that amount.

Does anyone have any experience of this? I've looked through our paperwork and am now more confused than I was before.

Thanks very much.
