Alert: last chance to buy cheap voluntary NIC 2005

Deadline is this April tax year end, in case anyone feels the need to buy an extra year, and has gap in their record for 2005, which happens to be a one off cheap concession at only £7.35pw class 3. Earlier years have already expired, and later years are roughly double the cost.

I think there is also some sort of concession for 2006 but only for certain people, whereas the 2005 price is for anyone.

Of course buying any voluntary NIC, or not buying them, is a gamble on your future circumstances, and more importantly what future governments do. i.e you could end up either better off having paid them, or worse off. The ever rising retirement age adds a further uncertainty to how long you actually have to collect the 30 years.
