Training for another job .. Whilst at work anyone?

Hi All,
I have a pretty misserable work life which is a long story but im now in a role that gives me minimal supervision and maximum 'surfing' time so my question to you ... Does or has anyone done a further education course which can be done from home WHILST at work?
I am thinking ... and dreaming .. of a way out of this place so thought whilst I'm here and im not getting much interest from prospective employers out there i could train and increase my skills during my working day.
