Anyone have their wages paid into Cashplus account?

Hi

I normally bank with Lloyds TSB but have had to move accounts because they are a creditor. So from this month have had my wages paid into a Cashplus account (you get your own sort code/account number). Today is payday but the money is still not showing. I have phoned them and they are investigating. I checked with work and they sent bacs to correct account last Thursday. Anyone use this outfit/have any ideas of how these guys work? with normal banks the wage payment tends to show around early morning (2am ish) but these guys nothing yet!!! I had a feeling something like this would happen :(

  • I have mixed feelings about cashplus - I didn't trust them to handle pay. They have screwed up 3 direct debits leading to me having three lots of fees. They do a lot of 'investigating' but not a lot of answering. Keep on at them.
  • If this is one of those prepaid card account it can take an extra 5-7 days for wages to credit this type of account.

Why not get something like a Barclays CashCard Account? It would be much better than CashPlus.

Yes first and last time I will use Cashplus to deposit my wages!! I needed account in hurry and so just plumped for this. Didnt realise that it takes an extra few days for deposit as it's deposited into one holding account before it's manually divvied up into the the appropriate individual accounts

I just hope that it the cause of the delay as opposed to the fact they have given into the wrong account
  • Hi angel_rainbow,

I have just had two direct debits fail with this company, one for my Sky TV and one for my credit card minimum payment. They normally alert you by email that you need to top up and I never got any texts or emails to alert me.

What caused the problems with your Direct Debits, I note you had 3?

I am at the point of complaining to watchdog and the FSA.

The frustrating thing is that I actually thought they were great for the benefits and services they offer as a prepaid card but now I am subject to late payment fees on my digital tv bill and on my credit card not to mention 2 late payments showing on my credit file.

The ironic thing being this card is meant to help your credit file.

Any other views or feedback from the community that have had dealings and or issues with this firm would be welcome

    Thanks :j

  • I've had issues with cash plus aswell. I've been getting my wages paid into a cash plus account for around 4 months! Now they decide to hold my money and when I rang them they said that they cannot discus my account and I need to wait for head office to call me back. When I have a problem they always say that the head office number is down. I have bills to pay and I pay them for a service ! I'm disgusted with there behaviour. I want to complain but they don't have a complaint number, hmmm I wonder why. Not happy.
