OK so I've just back from the manual assessment. You have to put an exhaust and intake camshaft and bearings into a head of an engine. You get a demo and then you have to do it. You have to measure certain points of the shaft with digital vernier.

Its quite straight forward if you have used a socket set before. It is timed, you get 20 mins to do it in. I did it in 15 so this is easily achievable, I actually thought I took longer than I should.

I got told I'd receive an email in the next few days.

For those not done it yet, don't worry, its quite easy, everyone is friendly and its reasonably relaxed for what is essentially a test.

Same here mate. I had my interview on 26.03 still waiting.

Man power told me they're going to be taking on from May through till July. July is good for me as the Mrs gives birth mid June!

Well I had my manual assessment yesterday morning at Castle Vale. I think it went OK. I finished within time. The only mistake I might possibly have made is that when I took the magnets back to the work station, I didn't walk back round and behind the car again. I just went straight to the station. I can't remember if the sheet said to do that or not either.

Now I'm waiting for a reply. Hopefully good news... It's driving me slightly nuts though, I hope they get back to us all soon.
