Hi All,
Quick question - I can't seem to find the rates offered by my mortgage advisor on the lenders website - should I be able to?
Thanks.

I've found the rate - it's advertised on a website as an intermediary rate. I'm assuming this means only available to mortgage advisors.
The advisor is a whole of marker advisor - why would this rate be higher than the lenders advertised rate?0 -

Correct. The advisor is a whole of marker advisor - why would this rate be higher than the lenders advertised rate?
A whole of market mortgage adviser will typically offer commission only paying mortgages. These deals may be better or worse than the deal offered by a different distribution channel.
A mortgage adviser being employed on independent basis can go real whole of market and can include intermediary deals and non-intermediary deals. Although the level of work they can do on your behalf may vary depending on lender used. (e.g. an independent may recommend a lender that does not correspond with advisers. So, you will have to keep the adviser in the loop).I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0
