Debit card,double withdrawal!

I used my debit card in a restaurant and the bill was £27.80. (I have the receipt).A few days later I checked my account and seen that the restaurant had taken out TWO £27.80 withdrawals.
I phoned my bank who told me to contact the restaurant as they should be able to easily restore the money to my account. So I phoned the restaurant and explained this to the lady who said she would pass this on to the manager and he would phone me back in 5 or 10 minutes.
This was last Friday,I'm still awaiting the return call. Should I phone the restaurant again or my bank?
Thanks.

It is a long time to wait for a return call!!
If it was me I would call into restaurant (assuming it's nearby).0 -
You should go back to your card issuer, it's their job to rectify the duplicated transaction not yours. They may have sent you back to the restaurant if both transactions were PIN verified though as there isn't a chargeback right for these. If they weren't, they can action a dispute for you and refund you.0

Thanks people, the place is not near me, we just called in while in the area. I think I will phone the card issuer as the restaurant haven't even gave a courtesy call.0
