Does anyone have any idea what it would cost to get a timing belt changed on a mark V Volkswagen golf as part of planned maintenance due later this year.
Also any recommendations of a good garage /mechanic to do the work in Carrickfergus or Bangor Area.
Thanks

I got mine done last year on a MKV Golf.
The timing belt kit alone is about £90+
I got other work done too, but I think in all it cost me about £250.
Artie Graham in Balloo is a good mechanic.0 -
Yea you can buy just at timing belt but are better to go for the full kit, it is an expensive part of the maintenance of a car but well worth it when you consider the damage that can be done if one snaps.
Yea it probably will be quite a few hundred to do it all in0 -
Try Stephen Dunlop in Balloo

Been using him for years and very helpful plus fair prices.0
