Tuesday 27th March - What small DFW things will you do today?!
Pernicious

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
Morning all,
Today I plan on not doing a whole lot as I am not feeling well, just staying up until it's time to call work & then off to bed I go again.
Today I will:-

Good morning! I was aiming for a NSD today but forgot my breakfast at home, and as I'm really grumpy when I haven't had breakfast I ended up buying a banana at Pret. But all is not lost! Today I am...
+ Having Covent Garden soup for lunch today (and tomorrow) - got them on a 2-for£3 offer and I only eat half a box for lunch, so 75p cost for lunch!
+ Not going out - I am staying at home this evening to do some...
+ ...freelancing, which for £10 an hour is a nice way to make a little extra income!
+ Looking into home contents insurance (can't believe we don't have this yet) and definitely buying today - through a cashback site and on American Express if possible for plane bonus pointsSince March 2012:

Hi all, glorious here too! Sadly I have come down with sinusitis and I am awful when I'm a bit poorly, honestly I should have been born a man!
So today:- Checked bank accounts. Child benefit, yay! Sent straight to cc.
- Small shop for essentials, didn't get everything on the list as couldn't bring myself to pay 30p more than !id! price!
- No car day, too lovely.
- Posted off another ebay parcel.
- All meals from stores inc 2xpacked lunches.
- Even husband is having a no car day, yay!
- Going to bake later, will cheer me up!
- Washing on line.
- Heating will only be on when we need hot water (we really need a new boiler, first thing to buy when debt is paid off).
- Made myself a "latte" and found a pain au chocolate in the fridge that my my mum had given us!

Oh, this is a good idea.
OK, for me today, it is as follows:
- Bring in own lunch, incl homemade soup - just ate it. Yummy!
- Write and send off letter to HMRC to have rebate cheque re-sent (it got lost in the post) - Have drafted, will check details at home tonight and then post.
- Ask OH to clean/wipe old laptop, so I can get it on Ebay (at long last)
- Post other items on Ebay
- Prepare lunch for tomorrow (need to decide between veg soup for 3rd day running, or egg salad sandwiches- have all ingredients at home already)
- Have a nice home made meal for dinner (from stuff already in house - but we just did a grocery shop so we have plenty in right now)
- Try to bake some bread again....if there is time (I am determined to figure this one out!)
- Do some clothes washing
- Do some dish washing
- Put clean clothes away
- Get OH to change the time on the clock in the living room (he is taller than me).
I think that is enough for one evening, seeing as I don't get in til around 6.30pm and I also need to have a shower.
Oh yes, I also already made some PAD's.February wins: Theatre tickets0
