Tesco won't pay my last 2 weeks wages!!!!

....And holiday they owe me.
It has been 7 weeks now, I have rang them numerous times, and more recently I spoke to the store manager to discuss the situation.
He responded with "HR isn't here at the moment, but I'll get them to ring you on Monday" Surprisingly... no phone call.
Around 5 weeks ago I went in with my payslip and gave it to my (old) team leader to sort out and haven't had it back so I am worried this could be potential evidence that they have taken?
I am not 100% sure of what they owe me other than it is around the £150 - £200 mark, excluding holiday which is only 2 days!
I am not worried about the money as much, more the fact that I feel I am being totally mugged off!!
What can I do!?
I am seeking the easiest/stress free route as I am a full time working mummy of one little babba and I don't have time to be constantly chasing these things up... (this is not the first company to rip me off of late)
Maybe this is my problem? Will bugging them constantly force them to cough up?
Oh, and they also won't provide a reference to a prospective employer despite a number of attempts... They clearly don't like me much!!!
As much advice as poss would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

If you are 199% certain they owe you, you could issue a statutory demand on themHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Maureen, I realise it is a lot of money to you but you are better off not slipping into the mindset that this is a plot to diddle you. It's not, the money is nothing to them. It's just that big companies are incapable of dealing with slip ups when they happen. If you can brave it, publicity would immediately get you your money, either through a local paper or standing with a placard outside the store you used to work in. Otherwise, write to everyone you can think of, Tesco CEO, your MP etc. You will get your money in the end, I am sure.I didn't ask to be born!0

Maureen, assumably Tesco staff get paid once a month. Perhaps the payroll for this month has not actually taken place yet. If you've not got your P45 then your final pay will be calculated, including pay for untaken holiday, and all paid to you at once.
If you aren't happy then phone up every half an hour until you get hold of someone in HR. If anyone says they will call you back, tell them not to worry but you will call them. If anyone says they will get HR to call you tell them not to worry, you will call back. Make their life a misery - don't give up. They will sort out final pay just to get rid of you!0 -
You can actually access old payslips online for Tesco on payslipview or something similar.Competition Wins:

Hi Maureen, sorry to hear you're having problems with retrieving your money from Tesco. As far as I can see you have made several attempts to deal with this internally, to no avail. Under these circumstances I would now take it outside your store, but still within the company.
The first thing you could do is phone head office on 01992632222 and explain things to them. I would then follow that up with identical emails to:
legalservices@uk.tesco.com
Complaints online@tesco.co.uk
company.secretary@uk.tesco.com
and corporate.investigations@uk.tesco.com . The purpose of doing this is to get your issue brought to the attention to someone outside the store. In my experience I have found that this can really assist in getting some action.
The information I am giving you is given based on personal experiences and nothing more.
I know it's easy to say, but please try not to worry too much and enjoy being a mother. Being a parent is the MOST important job you'll ever do, so don't let Tesoc taint that by worrying. Good Luck!0 -
For goodness sake I know people like to bash Tesco but will everyone calm down and start acting rationally!
OP - surely there is a central contact number on your (other) old payslips for any queries that you could ring and as for the references ....I know if it was a choice between spending 30 minutes doing a reference or 30 minutes doing productive work then I know which would win.
And as for bugging them every 30 mins - that would be one sure fire way of me doing nothing until I was ready to do it ......and the easiest/stress free route would be to let it drop .2014 Target;

Sounds a sensible idea to meVuja De - the feeling you'll be here later0 -
Thank you all for the feedback. I will email and ring the numbers suggested by Chr1s and see what happens.
The fact that Tesco is a big company and me and my pay is nothing to them is what is motivating me to even bother. I don't want my money to contribute to their pockets through means of not being bothered to sort it out. I have bills to pay and I'm sure it can go towards something useful as opposed to their profits.
I shall let you know the outcome.........
It could be some time.0
