Can I ask, how do you earn so much from mystery shopping? I have signed up to a few sites and find the jobs are really low paid. Which sites would you recommend? I'd love to earn that sort of money from mystery shopping!
The ways I make money on the side are:
Ebay
A site called Etsy where I sell some vintage items and jewellery I have made
Car Boots
Vintage fairs
LOTS of surveys...my favourite is opinionworld
Swagbucks
Superpoints
Hope that helps!0 -

I've PMd you more info but basically I try to get a lot of jobs in an area and do a full days work. Recently I did 9 visits in one city (all related) and got paid £150 for them but that was a long day, I started at 7:30am as I had to drive a fair distance and didn't finish entering the results until midnight.Make £2018 in 2018 Challenge - Total to date £2,1080 -
Blimey, that's an impressive month for the mystery shopping, particularly as you have just started up with that again. Those long days must be a bit knackering though!
A few quick comments on the web design business - obviously you have already thought about this but it is getting easier and easier to make your own website - it is still fairly niche atm I guess but now some companies are advertising on TV, it could be a tricky sell long term. Good idea about the SEO services, though, considering the changes Google seem intent on making on a regular basis, I think offering that is a good addition. Like you say, nothing ventured, nothing gained so good luck with it.
With regards to your website, I wold go through it with a fine toothed comb with regards to proof reading - there are a few errors on there that might be fine on a blog but might put off someone looking for professional web design.
Erm, just re-read that - hope I don't sound overly critical, I like the website other than that!0 -

Would you be kind enough to PM this information? Many thanks0 -
Sure, will PM you now.
Today is the end of my first full month, Apr 10th to May 9th and assuming all my jobs are completed (I'm waiting for a delivery of gold before I can start) I will have netted ~£1,200. I don't have a precise figure as it depends on what time the postie arrives as to how many jobs I can do today.Make £2018 in 2018 Challenge - Total to date £2,1080 -
I am in a similar position, and while I have some freelance development work I also want to find other streams of income. I have some web dev experience, though I'm not so good on the design side. My aim, though, is to try for more passive income - the trouble with programming, web design, anything like that is that it's all tied to the number of hours you spend at it, and there's a finite limit to how many hours you can put in.
I ruled out web sites for my own future because there's a million other people out there prepared to do a better job and charge less for it, but if you can make a success of it, then go for it. I have some experience of site optimising, but found it very hard to articulate why it was so important, just getting responses along the lines of "everyone has broadband, it doesn't matter if the page is 150kb instead of 15kb". Gave up in the end.0 -
I would be really interested in how you make so much with mystery shopping :-) would you be able to pm me to.
Thank you0 -
If you are good at seo and web design etc. Why not try to get a youtube partnership and make tutorial videos?0

Do you belong to any social networking sites? It doesn't take long to connect to a network of friends and once you have some connections you can put the word out about your website. Your friends may not be interested but they may know other people who could really do with your web design services.Don't mess with pensioners. :cool:0

Hi,
I use mysurvey which seems to be good and signing up at volunteer4panelx .com is good where there are surveys and scanning your shopping. I've earned £80 from the latter since Nov. Also agree with social networking. Free advertising is far better than Google paid ads (which tend to not be very cost effective) and LinkedIn isn't that popular yet in terms of marketing products/services for sale.
Please can you send me details of your mystery shopping sites? I would appreciate it.0
