you could always make an offer 35-40% and tell them its all you can afford and if they don't accept within 2 weeks you will offer it to another company you owe debt too ?

    OMG

M&S have just accepted first offer of 25%!

Caboot are thinking about my last offer of 45%.

    I am stunned!

Caboot have come back with just over 60%. Think I will take it as 60% is the figure I had in my head.
Told them I'd think about and get back to them next week.

Busy day! Santander (Debenhams Card) wrote offering 75%. Just called and they won't go any lower, so I've written to them offering 40% and see what they say.

If they won't budge I'll just continue my monthly payments to them which finish when I'm 60.

Well Tesco want the whole lot, so they're stuck with the monthly until they pass it to a DCA.

Fair comment, but this is for another thread.

Mine is about me trying to settle my debts as best I can.

Cloudy Day, good post makes interesting reading, just as an interested outsider can you list your debtors the totals, the amounts offered and the amount accepted?
