HELP!! Financial Advisor Mortgage problem

We are trying to get money back from a financial advisor on a problem not relating to mortgage but they are querying salaries on an old mortgage. This was completed by the financial advisor on fast-track. I am assuming they are trying to say we o.k'd a mortgage based on information given to them which therefore is de-frauding. As they changed details so we could get the mortgage, could they inform the old lender and what would happen? We are aware they are doing this so as to not pay out for what they did wrong on a separate issue??

as long as you gave them the correct salaries, and have made the mortgage payments you have nothing to fear.

What is the new issue, and how has this resulted in them questioning a previous transaction?

If you have made a complaint, which you evidently have then you should be dealing with their compliance department alone and the adviser should not be contacting you - at least this is the case with our company.

  • It may be that the questions you are being asked are part of an internal compliance investigation. They may have an adviser who has been abusing the fast track system and they are checking to see if your case is one he did this on - there may well be nothing wrong with the advice given/application in your case.

If it has been raised by a complaint you made it is possible that they are trying to scare you - don't let them. It may also be that they are trying to establish just how bad the adviser's file for your whole case was - it could strengthen your complaint.

Cannot see the old lender being that interested if you paid them on time and owe them nothing and are no longer a customer.

More detail needed I am afraid.
