Maternity pay

I started my job on 6/10/2011. On 31/12/2011 myself and around 15 others were swapped onto seasonal contracts.
I'm basically employed still, but only work 10 weeks a year. I was earning around £65 a week, but since going onto the seasonal contract, haven't worked at all.
How does this affect my maternity pay?
Will I even be eligible, either from work, or via the Job Centre?
I'm seeing the midwife next week for my MATB1 form, but wanted some ideas of what I can expect my employer to say when I send it in.

Your earnings are too low to qualify for SMP from your employer, you will have to apply for MA.0
