In theory if you were on JCA and got two weeks work would you have to sign off and then reclaim 2 weeks later?

Essentially yes, but it's not like being a new signer. I believe that there is a system for dealing with this. I know people who are temping do this and it doesn't seem to be much hassle for them. You just tell the JC when you've worked and you don't get JSA for those days.
I'm sure someone will be along to give you the exact specifics soon.
Has someone offered you some temp work? You had me at your proper use of "you're".0 -
In theory yes you would have to sign off, but in practice it would be hard to make your signing on day.0

If its over 16 hours a week you phone them up using the number on your booklet if you can't make it into the office to see them and then do a rapid reclaim at the end of the two weeks work, you go back into the system at the point you left it.0

It is for a company via an agency that advertised a job back at the begining of Feb and they wanted to see me and one other person then they put us both on hold as they had an internal person apply for the role so I was told they were interviewing them then a week later I was told the job was on hold now the agency have said they 'may' need cover (not 100% sure they do) for some time after Easter to cover holiday so I am assuming it's possibly two weeks. Not the offer of it, just telling me they may need cover.Lovelyjoolz wrote: »

Just curious what you had to do if you got work for 2 weeks. I wouldn't do it unless I told the JSA and the WP first.0 -
You would sign off and then do a 'rapid reclaim' when you finished the work.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
thanks for the replies. Never heard of rapid reclaim. Will look it up in case I get something.0

Even if it's only two weeks, it would be great for you to be back in the workplace and have some fresh experience to update your CV with.
Well done! You had me at your proper use of "you're".0 -
