Ok thanks for the additional.
If pushed would say you are guaranteed to get a mortgage at a good mainstream rate.
I would still remain luke warm on whether Nationwide will accept, they are more likely to accept than decline but they are fussy.
HSBC/First Direct are the most fussy and then Accord are proving to be hard work lately. Nationwide figures next with the other usual suspects being more flexible..
The credit card and Next information makes very good reading and you have done the right thing over the last couple of years for sure getting them and managing in this way.
Good luck with whatever you decide and please keep us updated...
Thanks mate, my appointment is on Saturday so I'll post back then, hopefully with some good news.
Thanks again Dave"I don't want to sound cold and un-caring, but I am those things so that's the way it comes out" - Bill Hicks0 -
Hi Folks,
Promised I'd post an update when I had one so here we go...
Went through an independent mortgage advisor and agreed on the mortgage (3 year fix with nationwide), he applied for me today and ,......
I GOT THE MORTGAGE I WANTED

both myself and my better half are over the moon (although I am not looking forward to all the shopping that is gonna be needed now)
I think it was my behaviour on the two credit accounts I took out over the last three years that swung it.
thanks to all those who helped, esp Dave Ham."I don't want to sound cold and un-caring, but I am those things so that's the way it comes out" - Bill Hicks0 -

It gets better, I paid the booking fee then and there as I was so happy and dispite the MA saying they normally get a bit of advance notice of rates going up so it was ok to wait, nationwide then upped their rates this evening!
