First day at work tomorrow

Starting a new job tomorrow! :) only temporary atm but could be permanent if it goes well.

In the past I have worked in quite small places with only a few employees - one time I worked at a larger organisation but there weren't many people on my floor and even then we were split into groups of 4.

There are about 40 people in the new office and it seems to be a few large rooms with a lot of people in them so I am feeling a bit nervous - any advice?

I can only say once you get the first day done then you will feel less nervous. 40 is not really a big team and they will all be far too busy to keep going 'oh there is the new guy' so don't feel nervous. If they are a friendly bunch you will be ok.

    Good luck.

The first day is always the worst. Listen to what is being said to you, if you dont understand something ask them to clarify/repeat.

    Yu wont remember anyone's name

Dont go round with a silly smile on your face trying to be nice to everyone.
Good luck and hope it goes well.

Take a pen & a small notebook with you.......Probably better you don't ask why.....but it shows initiative (& common sense )
