Try Cherished Car Insurance

Thanks for this. I gave them a call but apparently my vehicle is too young for them. It's 18 year old. :rotfl:0

18 year old car is just an old car TBH.
Needs to be around 25 and older for classic.
Try a matched no claims on your existing policy with limited mileage for the second car to get a good premium.0 -
I've a classic policy on a 17yr old Alfa. I have friends with classic policies on 10 yr old cars and there are also 'future' classic policies for younger models.
I tried UK mainland companies but managed to get the best deal at home through CCC in Coleraine. Their tel no is 028 70344321.Timmay!0 -
Hi jetboy,
I used to have insurance with a company in England throught the Minis In Northern Ireland club, I will get teh contact details of the insurers for you tonight ? I think they did Pre Classic as well as classic insurance...0 -
When you say Classic policy, is this not just another name for specialist insurance with limit of 3000 miles pa?0

i have a 16YO Celica insured through Aon insurance (in england not the local Aon) on a classic/cherished policy. Cheap as chips and they provide an excellent service in the event of a claim.0

Thanks for the info.
It's for a 1989 MK1 Golf Clipper. OH and I both have a car each and we also have this one which we use for messing around on hot summer days (should just get 2 days insurance:rotfl: ). We currently use EA Davies in Glengormley for this car. Their price is £229 which on the grand scheme of things isn't that much. However when you compare that our other 2 cars are £289 and £243 to insure I was just wondering if there is a cheaper deal for the 3rd car before I cough up the £229. Previously I've insured it for 3000 miles but we probably don't even do half of that.0 -

First car i insured with AON was an 83 mk1 convertible for £120 quid. May be worth a call.0 -
