My contribution based JSA is due to stop in June, on income based I will not get anything as my wife works part time, I only paying creditors token payments at the moment, but if JSA stops I won't even be able to pay that, so what will likely happen? We only rent our home and have no assets.

Get down to your local CAB and ask them to do a benefit check to ensure that you're getting every benefit that you're entitled to. Then sit down with them and work out a DMP - you can then decide whether you want to do this on your own or with the help of someone like CCCS.0

If you cant pay them then write to each and tell them / Iwould invite them to take you to court / they cannot get what you do not have / they would be extremely unlikely to take you to court after you tell them your circumstances/ stop worrying / being in debt is not a crime / Write to them one time outlining your circumstances then leave it at that / you will be inundated with threatening letters for some time but this is only an attempt to get something from you / above all do not worry / if you owe someone money and cannot pay they should be worried not you / good luck .:)My contribution based JSA is due to stop in June, on income based I will not get anything as my wife works part time, I only paying creditors token payments at the moment, but if JSA stops I won't even be able to pay that, so what will likely happen? I already have, it was CCCS who drew up my income and expenditure details and told me to make token payments as they couldn't do anything else.0 -
Would you meet the criteria for a Debt Relief Order ?0

If your debts are under £15k you would be eligible for a DRO. Again, your local CAB will help you with this.0
