I could really do with some help .I took out a log book loan last year.I paid the balance off early this week .I got a letter saying the full balance had been paid off the hpi had been taken off but the bill of sale would remind registered for next 5 years and if I want to sell my car to show this letter as proof of cleared balance .
I'm not happy about this so phoned lbl straight up they said this was normal .i asked what court it was registered at they would not tell me .
How do I go about removing the bill of sale .?

Hi, would suggest you pay for your own hpi to confirm what is registered against your car. If you are thinking of part exchanging your car the dealer would do this as a matter of course.

If looking for a loan in the future try your local credit union. Ethical, sound money management and owned by its members.

Sorry can't be any more help.
