on the 342 its the cheapest item that goes free, so that would be the eyeliner, So in your case, you'd have to pay for the primer and the mascara.

The eyeliner is free with the mascara so the mascara and eyeliner end up as free on 3 for 2, that's what this thread is about.

sorry, I must be being thick, how does that work with a £19 primer, a £12 mascara and a £9 eyeliner? I get that the eyeliner is free because you're buying a mascara, but how can the mascara be free if its not the cheapest item of the 342?

It's the glitch, but maybe you are right, maybe the other item has to be cheapest. Will be trying it later so will report back

No it isn't. You get the cheapest item free under the 342, so to get something other than the eyeliner as the third item free, you need to buy something cheaper than the eyeliner for it to be free. You will then also get the eyeliner price taken off as it comes free with the mascara.

I don't think anyone has tried to see whether if your eyeliner is the third item,it will just take off the price of it twice, or whether the till will recognise it's already taken off the eyeliner price once and not do it again.

Thanks all, so I guess nobody knows for sure what happens if you buy something more expensive than the mascara and eyeliner as the 3rd item. Will try and get out at lunchtime and find a friendly assistant to test it.

The cheapest item is free so it has to be cheaper than the eyeliner otherwise it gives you the eyeliner free, even though it is free with the mascara. Its not logical but its a glitch. Gonna try and get to Boots tomorrow - although I do have loads of mascaras LOL x

Brightening Day Cream, Eye Cream, and Night Cream from No.7 - save a third + 3 for 2.
    I ordered all 3 for £26.66!

Wow and so forceful, but wrong :rotfl:, with your post. We bought the Mascara at £12.95, the eye-liner at £9.95 and a double lip gloss at £10.25. The total to pay was £13.25. We then used a £5 off No.7 voucher.

In essence we got no more than the eye-liner price taken off PLUS the eye-liner for free so in the person's question about the £19 stuff, she'd get the Mascara for £12.95 - £9.95 = £3.

I do wish sometimes people would make their comments highlighted as "what they think" as opposed to presenting them as fact.
