Overcharge when paying off loan???

Hi everyone!
Just looking for some advice before storming into my lloyds branch about this...
Back in February I went to my local lloyds branch to pay off a loan I had with them. They gave me the final figure (that I was roughly expecting) and paid the outstanding balance. When I asked for a print and detailed document showing the final charges they amiable confirmed I would receive it within a couple of weeks time and that unfortunately he couldn't print anything for me. I had to go back work so I trusted them and waited patiently for my document.
Nearly SEVEN weeks have gone without hearing anything from lloyds and finally today I've received a statement with transaction details showing closing balance 0. The problem is that on the transaction details it shows the outstanding balance before paying off the loan(£2,084.13) and then the final payment I made (£2,108). That makes £23.87 that I have over paid and then the statement adds lines with "adjustments" bringing the balance to 0.
Am I right thinking than apart from offering the worst customer services they have actually taking some of my money and try to cover it??? I know it's a small amount but still daylight robbery!
I hope it all makes sense and I look forward to your views!
Thanks very much in advance!
Many thanks in advance!

Maybe there was an early repayment fee of £23.87.

I'm sure they are not trying to cover-up an overpayment.
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.

Usually there is a fee taken for early settlement however request a loan statement

I would imagine what OP has received is in fact a closing statement on the loan.
I suspect the amount can be accounted for by the early settlement fee.
OP should have come on here first for advice of ways to get round this fee.
